I decided not to write the optional test because I figured that with a mark like mine, the only way to improve it is to get 100% or really close to that and i didn't think that would happen so I went and mastered my 50th objective on AM.

Laws of sines/cosines

Sines law is pretty easy and will get easier with practice but law of cosines, even after it gets easy, won't be easy. I tied my record for worst score in MM with a 60% 2 days in a row. AM is getting pushed aside with all this other stuff to do now but i'm not doing bad with 44 mastered objectives.

I don't even know the date...

Mental Math was quick and tough today. I got my worst mark so far: a 60%. Then we went to test corrections which seemed quite strange because we hadn't got our tests back or even know what we got on our test. i don't see why we'd look at something that we might already know or ignore something that we have no idea about.

THE VEGGIE MONSTER?!?!?!?! That's just dumb! I don't know what this world is coming to when we can't even have a monster named after a baked good. Oh right math... Ummmm we just did a few example of rationalizing binomial denominators which started out confusing but did help me out quite a bit. I have enough homework in all my classes so if I do do these joke sheets it will not be for a while.

Late October

I'm confused. This is this quickest moving math class I've been in meaning that before we even understand the last lesson there is already a new lesson to not understand. I kind of get how to do this but I never see myself skipping all the steps like you said. There, I said "you". Happy?

Today was a catch up day. Half the class wasn't here so even though he planned to do a lesson, Mr. Maksymchuk gave us the free period. I was scribe so I spent quite a while on that then I worked on accelerated math.

October 9 Blog Post

Today we learned you need 2 points to ensure a straight line but 3 to be absolutely sure. It was a pretty easy lesson with a 20 question assignment to follow it up. Now that we have actual assignments on top of accelerated math I'm falling a little behind. Since Mr. Maksymchuk told us to blame someone, and the roofers are being quiet, I'll blame Mr. Maksymchuk himself for making me live in fear of invading Americans. Now I'm too busy preparing for invasion to do my work.

October 8 Blog Post

At the start of class we discussed accelerated math and some tips on how to do good with it. After that we did our lesson on slope which I thought would be confusing, but it wasn't. And finally, we learned how to print our own tests and exercises which will help me a lot.

October 7 Blog Post

Today we wrote our second test and it was fairly easy. I think I got an easy 90% on that test. We worked on accelerated math after the test and I mastered my 26th objective. I am ahead of everyone in the class by quite a bit in accelerated math.

Today we didn't have a lesson, we just had a quick test review into studying/finishing unfinished work/accelerated math for the rest of the class. It's good that we have these classes every once in a while because usually we move so quickly through the lesson that this helps everyone learn and catch up.

Today we did a quick and easy mental math then moved on to free time to work on whatever we needed to. We got our longest assignment yet but thankfully it isn't due for tomorow, not that that helps me with my busy weekend coming up. I guess I'll have to do it all tonight.

September 25 Blog Post

Today we had a lesson and re-learned how to factor difference of squares. I could do them before but we learned how to do them the long way which will be neccessary for when they get more confusing. Then we got assigned lesson 10 and I'm starting to wonder what happened to lesson 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I don't have any accelerated math right now and I think it's because I'm too far ahead.

We had a test in math class today and while I wasn't looking forward to it, I knew it would be pretty easy. I won't be surprised if i get over 90%. If I don't, I blame the roofers for ruining my concentration. I'm accelerating in accelerated math with 17 mastered objectives.

September 22 Blog Post

Math class isn't at the confusing point yet, but it's getting there. With the introduction of polynomial long division and our first test tomorrow it is getting a little tough. Today's class was good though, it made me feel ready and confident about tomorrow's test. The only thing I'm having any trouble with is accelersated math. It's not the work, that's easy it's just understanding if there's a difference between practices and excercises other than automatic printing and other simple things like that.
